Zombies, prepare your finest gear because our people will soon roam the streets of downtown during the Montreal Zombie Walk, presented by Videotron The Superclub! The zombie horde will once again gather at noon at the Place des Festivals in the Quartier des Spectacles on Saturday, October 19, 2013! Having tripled in size to reach 8,000 participants in 2012, the most popular event of the undead is back!
The make-up artist tent will zombified you for the day in exchange of 15$. Don't forget to bring old clothes. The sooner you arrive, the better!!!
In addition to makeup and photo booths as well as entertainment and costume shops on site, we are pleased to welcome this year's workshop, 'CPR makes you undead', set up in collaboration with the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Our zombies have expressed the need to resolve the thorny problems of humans who end up dying of fright before being zombified - learn how to revive them in order to freshen up your meal. After all these gruesome activities, the walk will begin at 3pm!
We are also pleased to announce a new partnership with the 42nd Festival du Nouveau Cinema, particularly the incisive and biting portion, Temps Ø . The Zombie Walk will also co-present the movie Miss Zombie (2013) by Japanese director Hiroyuki Tanaka (Sabu), premiering in Canada on Thursday, October 17 at 9:15pm in the Cassavetes room at Ex-Centris and on October 18 at 5:15pm in the Fellini room.
A make-up workshop will be presented on Thursday, October 17 from 4:30 to 6:00 pm at Berri- UQAM metro station in collaboration with the Metro Arts program of the STM. In addition, the Montreal Zombie Walk in collaboration with Boréale, will present the great launch concert on Friday, Oct. 18 at Katacombes. The punkabilly rockers The Brains, East End Radicals, and East Side Spades will awaken your stunted limbs in preparation for the next day's hunt.
