Interested in learning some violin basics or working on a specific technique? Want to get some advice on how to play a song or discover a new style? This skill-share will be an opportunity for us to share our knowledge of the violin and learn from each other in an anti-oppressive environment. No experience necessary! A brief overview of baroque, classical, jazz, and klezmer styles will be given. Participants are encouraged to bring sheet music if they so desire, and a violin if they have one. One violin and plenty of sheet music will be available for shared use.

As part of the GrassRoots Yoga Populaire collective, I will be offering pay-what-you-can, drop-in classes Wednesdays at 8:30pm at the lovely Coop Le Milieu!! These will be gentle yoga and relaxation classes in a non-judgmental and compassionate environment. For this month, each class will have a theme. I'll update this event page each week with the new theme and some info :)

*What to bring. Since these classes won't be happening in a yoga studio, please bring some things to replace the regular props:
- A yoga mat, or a large towel
- A blanket or bath towel
- A throw cushion or pillow
- Water!. Le Milieu has a tap (obvs), but since we'll be doing a lot of detoxifying breath work, it's good to bring extra water to cleanse your body
- Some cash, if you can, to support the service and this fantastic co-op that offers a free community space for artists, kids and everyone in between!

The annual Vert-ta-Ville spring seedling sale is coming up fast! We will have over 100 varieties of heirloom veggie, herb and flower seedlings, all those produced naturally and locally in the Concordia Greenhouse by our City Farm School Interns! And this year we've add a number of new "container" varieties for all you balcony gardeners out there. All flowers, veggies and herb seedlings will be priced at $2-3. We will also have a variety of seeds for direct sowing available during the sale.

For the past five years, Forget the Box has run completely on a volunteer basis. The goal of this fundraiser is not only to raise awareness of Forget the Box, but to ensure that our collective can continue to provide thought-provoking coverage of arts, culture, politics and more.
